There are low interest loans thru the US Small Business Administration to homeowners, renters, small businesses and private non profit organizations.
Also, any family denied by FEMA should appeal right away. Sometimes the reason for the initial denial may be an incomplete application. Also call the Vermont Bar Association’s free legal hotline for legal help concerning legal issues connected with Tropical Storm Irene. The number is 1-800-889-2047. The hotline coordinator is Angele Court.
